Daniel Holmes

7/21/13

This is a sand sculpture of a hand on top of a head. This is an interesting sculpture because it looks like real art. This sculpture is the biggest sand sculpture I have ever seen in my life! To me I think this is supposed to be a comically picture, but aside from that this is a very respectable piece of art work.

Daniel Holmes

At night when you look out any window at night you can see illuminating lights and some of the city of Newark. It is pretty wonderful site when you get up in the middle of night to do your business in the bathroom. Sometimes when I look out the window I can invasion myself flying, but if I did for real... yeah.  When looking far from a window in the city it makes it seem like the city is harmless at night.

Another thing in the dorms that interests me is that there are writings and drawings on the doors, walls, and celling’s in two or three of our rooms. For example when a dead body has been found in a police investigation the police usually put calk outline around the body. On the celling of my next door roommates room a body outline is there and hardly noticeable until you look up. Some of the drawings look like they should be in a museum, others not so much. I look at the works of art every time I walk to my room.

What also interests in Redwood are the hallways! When I first came to the Upward Bound program I came I was not too worried but, now I see that the hallways are very narrow for me. I wonder if all the lights were off, would the place look like a set for a scary movie? The hallways are alright, minus the smell of dirty socks and guy sweat.

In the dorms at Redwood, NJIT what interests me is the foosball table. The way you play the game is fascinating because of how you twist the knobs to move the ball into the goal is different from any other game I have played. Playing the game does not take that much skill or luck, but you just have to anticipate where the ball is going and set up a line of defense, and be quick about it.
